Trulli Petralma

The charm of ancient trulli between elegance and wellness

Luxury Experience

Trulli Petralma, a renovated complex of eleven cones in the heart of the Itria Valley, is an invitation to live an authentic and unforgettable experience in a quiet and exclusive oasis where tradition marries elegance and wellness.

History

The Trulli Petralma complex represents a typical agglomeration of Murgia Apulia of the mid-19th century, wisely restored recently in absolute respect of the architectural canons of the historical period and with maximum attention, also in the distribution of spaces and furnishings, to elegance and comfort: a recovery intervention that wanted to combine tradition and innovation.

Philosophy

For centuries, the Itria Valley has witnessed a “stone civilization.” The attribution of the name Petralma to this complex of trulli wants precisely to evoke, in its meaning of “stone that nourishes,” “that gives life,” a tribute to the stones, the natural heritage of the land in Itria Valley, and to their wise use by man in the development of an architecture capable of expressing a sense of protection, of welcome, of harmony and well-being and of perfect union with nature.

Structure

In the heart of the Valle d’Itria lies the Trulli Petralma complex, located in the municipality of Cisternino, in a panoramic position that allows a view toward the countryside of Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica, and elegantly set among expanses of red earth, centuries-old olive trees, fruit trees and Mediterranean scrub. The property can only be reserved exclusively.

Surroundings

The Itria Valley is an area in the heart of Puglia between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, also known as the “Murgia dei Trulli”: it is a land still authentic and rich in ancient traditions, with a strong bond with the natural environment, which is reflected in the local food and wine itself.
Trulli Petralma are located in the heart of Valle d’Itria, two kilometers from Cisternino, a historic village of great beauty, characterized by narrow streets, arches, courtyards and whitewashed houses, included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.
